Food For The Soul and Commercial Photography

There are many questions about where the money lies in photography today. The fact of the matter is, like everything, the creative industry is taking a major hit right now. On the bright side of things, it really teaches us to adapt to our surroundings, to truly learn what it means to be the starving artist, if you will. It is a good lesson in the course of appreciation. Frankly, for some, it is a time of enlightenment, a time to learn and appreciate your craft. Someone very wise once told me, “In the beginning you cannot worry about money. If you do what you love and do it to the best of your ability, the money will come later.” Very wise words. If you love what you do what you do with all your heart and do everything you can (effectively) to share it with the world, then the benefits will come later.

Any who, as mentioned before, I am working on a commercial project, and yoga was next in line. It is interesting to see all the different exercises the human body can perform, and what strength it can build. Here are a few selects from the shoot. Enjoy.
